NEWSJun 9, 2022, 2:00 PM

Despite stating the opposite, Activision seems to be set on leaving Call of Duty: Vanguard fade into oblivion while focusing on the new installment in the series. The not-so-good results of Vanguard have put the company in a difficult position regarding the franchise, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II aims to fix all the problems and gain the trust of the fans once more. The fans eagerly await the return of Task Force 141, and this time Activision won't be able to put the blame on the setting if the game turns out to be a failure. Yesterday's reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II allows us to delve a bit more into the game to determine whether it will meet the expectations.

Task Force 141 is back

The first in-depth look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IIreveals that Infinity Ward has taken development very seriously. The game feels somewhat familiar and, at the same time, offers a modern approach to the franchise. Task Force 141 is in charge of eliminating a global threat in missions all over the world. Underwater combat, stealth missions, and a heavy focus on team efficiency and cooperation are the highlights of a video full of action across a wide variety of scenarios.

But the trailer is not the only piece of information revealed about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The game will feature a revamped Gunsmith mode and two new multiplayer modes, Prisoner Rescue and Knockout. You can also expect to find plenty of new gadgets and weapons that will add new tactical options when creating your strategy in the game. Add up improved physics and better graphics than ever, and you end with a game that could succeed where Vanguard failed.

As you can see at the end of the video, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will launch on October 28 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. You will be able to find it at the best price on our comparator ahead of the release. Stay tuned for more information about the game in the coming days.
