ASUS to unveil major new ROG graphics card at Gamescom ’25
This year marks the 30th anniversary of ASUS in the graphics card industry, and in celebration, the company is planning to offer RTX 50 series graphics cards as prizes at Gamescom. According to ASUS, the upcoming GPU will feature the “ROG” branding. Presently, ASUS does not manufacture any ROG-branded AMD RDNA 4 graphics cards. Furthermore, ASUS has indicated that the prize draw at Gamescom will feature a “sought-after ASUS GeForce RTX 50 series graphics card.”
According to information from VideoCardz, there appears to be a 30th Anniversary Edition ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, but the HTML code of the website hints that the "new ROG graphics card" could actually be referring to the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 Hatsune Miku Edition. As noted by VideoCardz, this may just be a placeholder link, since ASUS suggested in a post on X that it has something really unique planned for Gamescom 2025.
Are you looking forward to our new products at #ROGGamescom2025 this year?

To have a chance at winning one of ASUS’ prizes at Gamescom, participants must enter the company’s Gleam prize draw during the event. Please note that this prize draw has yet to commence. More details regarding the draw and the prizes on offer can be found here.
We had also anticipated the introduction of a new premium ROG Matrix or Poseidon model, but it seems likely that we will see yet another ROG Astral variant, as the description suggests the launch of a quad-fan graphics card. Gamescom 2025 will kick off on August 20 and continue until August 24, with ASUS set to reveal its GPU in honor of its 30 years in the graphics card arena on August 19, so we’re not far from the announcement.
The RTX 5080 is a powerhouse in its own right: delivering stunning visuals, advanced ray tracing, and DLSS 4 support for high-end gaming. But if you want to push beyond high settings into uncompromising 4K+ performance, ultra-fast AI workloads, and the absolute best Nvidia has to offer, the RTX 5090 is in a class of its own.
