Assassin’s Creed III Remastered: Exclusive Features for Nintendo Switch

We talked about it in a previous article, the launch of Assassin's Creed III Remastered on Nintendo Switch was announced during the last Nintendo Direct on February 13th. Offered free of charge to Assassin's Creed Odyssey Season Pass holders, this remastered version will be released on Xbox One, PC, and PS4 on March 29th. Nintendo Switch owners will have to wait a bit longer, until May 21st. A number of improvements will be available on all platforms, such as a graphics redesign. The game will run on 4K on Xbox One X, PC, and PS4 Pro and on 1080p on Xbox One and PS4. It will support HDR too. The visual aspect will be better overall, with improved lighting effects and textures, as well as new character models. The game will also be more realistic with denser crowds and richer landscapes.

This new version will also integrate the three DLC "Benedict Arnold Missions," "The Forgotten Secrets", and "The Tyranny of King Washington", as well as Assassin's Creed III: Liberation as a bonus. In terms of features, Assassin's Creed III Remastered is not a remake. Few changes are to be expected, although Ubisoft said some game mechanics may change. This is going to be the case on the Nintendo Switch version specifically because the game will use some features specific to the console, which we detail you right away. Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console, you can play with it both in lounge mode or in portable mode. The interface has been redesigned and optimized to perfectly fit the console, and it will be possible to interact with it using the touch screen functionality. The game will also make use of the HD vibrations of the joy-con. Also, it will be possible to use the motion sensors to aim.
