AMD Threadripper Pro 9000WX Spotted Early on Retail Site
AMD is set to introduce its Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series processors, with availability expected this month according to B&H Photo, a prominent US retailer.
As per the retail listing on their website, shared by @momomo_us, AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 series CPUs will be up for pre-order starting July 23rd. In contrast, the pre-order date for AMD’s non-Pro Threadripper 9000 series CPUs is July 31st.
With the launch of the new 9000 series Threadripper CPUs, AMD is bringing its Zen 5 CPU cores to customers. AMD has stated that these new Threadripper processors can achieve up to 22% more performance compared to the previous generation. This boost is attributed to the innovative core designs, improved AVX-512 support, and enhanced boost clocks by AMD. Additionally, the new Ryzen 9000 Threadripper CPUs are compatible with DDR5-6400 speeds, which offer a 23% increase over the memory speeds of the Threadripper 7000 series.
