The collaboration between Hardsuit Labs and Paradox Interactive will have as a result a new take on the World of Darkness universe with the vampires as protagonists. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has created a lot of expectations since it was announced, not only due to the huge populatiry of the role-playing game created by White Wolf publishing, but also because the footage and the features revealed so far looked quite good. During the last year, we've had a glimpse of the different factions that compose the vampiric society of Seattle, a city whose supernatural inhabitants are immersed in a constant struggle for power and territory. Despite their extraordinary powers, vampires are also subject to tight rules that have their origin in the necessity of keeping their existence unknown. This is the foundation of a unique scenario that many players from all over the world are were expecting to be able to experience this year but it seems that it's not going to happen.

A joint statement has been the form chosen by Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 developer and publisher to announce that the release of the game has been delayed to 2021. The reasons behind this delay seem to be organisational changes and that they need more time "to ensure the best player experience possible". Of course, it's quite a disappointment for the players that are eagerly waiting to play Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, but we all can agree that it would be much worse if they delivered a product that wasn't good enough to meet the demands of the players, becuse it could mean the end of the license. It's also quite understandable from a commercial point of view, since the end of 2020 is going to be packed with other big releases that were delayed due to the pandemic, like Cyberpunk 2077 or Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and the launch titles for the next-gen consoles.
We hope that the developers of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be a bit more communicative about their game in the future months than they have been in the last few weeks, because we would love to know more about their game before it is released.
