World War Z: Aftermath and Garden Story are available for free on the Epic Games Store
The Epic Games Store is offering another set of free games for PC players, with this week's giveaway featuring two titles. The previous offer of F1 Manager 2024 has now been succeeded by World War Z: Aftermath and Garden Story. As always, you have a week to claim these latest titles for your library permanently.
Among the two games, World War Z: Aftermath stands out as a cooperative shooter for up to four players, where teams battle against large groups of zombies while accomplishing objectives. This Aftermath version builds on the foundation of the original World War Z and includes new campaigns set in Vatican City and Russia, a more extensive class system, a first-person gameplay mode, revamped melee combat, and even more massive swarms of zombies.
On the other hand, the second free title available on EGS is the action RPG Garden Story, developed by Picogram and published by Rose City Games. Released in 2021, it received Metacritic scores in the low 70s.
Garden Story is an indie game that merges exploration, combat, and community management elements. Taking on the role of Concord, you are responsible for safeguarding the village of The Grove from a looming threat, as well as addressing the needs of the residents by repairing structures and fulfilling other requirements.
Players who decide to try out World War Z: Aftermath during this free offer can anticipate a gameplay length of around 10 to 20 hours, although completionists might require nearly 40 hours. In contrast, Garden Story typically lasts about 10 to 15 hours, with completionists taking close to 20 hours in this RPG.
World War Z: Aftermath (normally priced at $39.99) and Garden Story (usually listed at $16.99) are now free to acquire on the Epic Games Store. This dual giveaway will conclude on Thursday, February 27, at 8 am PT, making room for the upcoming free title. And as always, be sure to use our comparator to find the best deals for your next favorite game.
