The Sims 4 hosts an update full of novelties

Recently the latest extension for The Sims 4, Island Living, was released for PC. It adds a new location to the game, called Sulani, and a host of new content including, beach, sun, sirens, canoe trips, and of course new items for your Sim and construction modes. Even if Island Living is available since June 21 on PC, console players had to wait a little more because the expansion is released today on PS4 and Xbox One.

On this occasion, the consequent free update has just been deployed. The most visible thing this update brings is a graphical overhaul. The Sims 4 gets a new look with game covers and extensions, loading screens, icons of packs, and especially a new menu for the game, which becomes more beautiful and more pleasant. In addition to some new objects and bug fixes, this update adds two things, which will delight the fans of the license. The first is the addition of the Story option in Create a Sim, which changes the way you start your game. This option, which you can easily ignore to create a Sim normally if you want, consists of a quiz of several questions, which will define the personality of your Sim. You can not change the aspirations and character traits of your Sim, which are defined by your answers. On the other hand, the aspect of your Sim remains customizable. This addition spices up the game. Your answers in addition to defining the personality of your Sim, will define his career and bonus skills. You can start your game with skills at level 2 or 3 for example, and you will also have a starting fund allocated which may be more or less important.

The second major addition that will thrill budding architects is the addition of a new code that will unlock no less than 1200 objects for construction mode. It's actually only decorative objects that can be found in the environment, and the designers use them to bring the worlds of The Sims 4 to life. They will not have a function but will allow you to greatly enhance your creations, for example with stones, boats, commercial signs, or plants. EA, however, warns us in its release notes that these objects are not optimized and your Sims can pass through them. You can also find the full release notes at this address.
