The NVIDIA App is officially out of beta, download and experience it now!

After a beta testing period since February, NVIDIA has officially launched the NVIDIA App. This app combines the functionalities of GeForce Experience and Control Panel into one, along with additional features to enhance user experience and reduce the hassle when configuring NVIDIA GPU settings. In the future, NVIDIA GPU users will be able to update drivers directly through this application.

The NVIDIA App also supports gameplay recording with the AV1 codec at 4K resolution at 120fps, along with certain AI-powered game filters from NVIDIA. For example, the RTX HDR feature enhances many games running on DX12, DX11, DX9, and Vulkan, providing improved gaming experiences with HDR effects.

More importantly, the NVIDIA App integrates features that were previously unavailable on GeForce Experience and only found in the Control Panel, such as screen configuration, enabling/disabling G-Sync, adjusting Advanced Optimus settings, and tweaking GPU performance. In the future, NVIDIA plans to incorporate the remaining features from the NVIDIA Control Panel into the NVIDIA App.

The NVIDIA App also addresses a significant issue from GeForce Experience: users are no longer required to log into an NVIDIA account to access features or update drivers. After testing the Nvidia App in various beta versions over the last six months, it is strongly suggested that anyone with a GeForce GPU should install it. Nvidia has consistently introduced new features, and as more options from the Control Panel are integrated, the overall experience becomes increasingly user-friendly.

The Nvidia App also enhances Nvidia's software, making it more comparable to AMD's Radeon Software, which has offered an excellent app experience for a considerable time. In its current version 1.0, while Radeon Software still boasts a wider range of features with all settings and functionalities included, the Nvidia App has some gaps remaining. Nevertheless, the essential functions are present, and users can share their feedback regarding desired features or modifications with Nvidia.
