Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition gets a free trial

It´s needless to say that Street Fighter series is one of the most, if not the most famous fighting video game franchise ever launched. Since the original Street Fighter was seen for the first time on arcades in 1987, the series has expanded with quite a few titles on several platforms over the years. Those titles have added more fighters, new fighting mechanics and more to the series, but overall the games have managed to maintain the spirit of the original game. The latest title to join the franchise has been Street Fighter V, that was launched in 2016. Now, developer Capcom has announced a free trial that will let you try the game for two weeks.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition free trial will start on April 23 at 12 am UTC, and it will last until May 6 at 5 pm UTC. You can pre-download the game on Steam and PlayStation 4 four hours earlier than the launch time. You won´t need a PlayStation Plus subscription to download and play the game offline on your PS4, but if you want to give a try to the multiplayer online features of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition you must have an active subscription to the service. During the trial, all the players will have access to all the content of Street Fighter V along with all the extra content added on Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. That includes all the 16 original characters, and the DLC exclusive characters Akuma, Blanka, Juri, and Menat, although those four will only be available in Ranked, Casual, Battle Lounge, Training, and Challenge modes. If you already own Street Fighter V, you will have access to the four DLC extra characters for free, if you haven´t unlocked them.
