Razer Kiyo V2 Pro webcam delivers 4K 60 FPS with some new AI features

Razer is giving its webcam lineup a more capable flagship with the Kiyo V2 Pro, a professional-grade model designed to compete with dedicated cameras and increasingly sophisticated smartphone video. The new webcam combines 4K capture at 60 FPS with a larger imaging upgrade, improved dynamic range and several AI-powered tools aimed at streamers, creators and everyday video calls.

The headline feature is support for 4K video at 60 FPS, which can produce smoother footage with less motion blur than the standard Kiyo V2. Razer pairs this with Sony's 8.3-megapixel STARVIS 2 sensor, the same sensor found in Elgato's latest 4K webcam, while adding a wider-aperture lens that reaches f/1.9. The faster lens should help the Kiyo V2 Pro perform better in low-light environments while also producing more pronounced background blur.

Razer has also added several automatic image-processing features. AI-powered auto-framing uses intelligent pan, tilt and zoom to keep users centered in the frame, while the One-Click enhancement feature can automatically adjust exposure, white balance and noise reduction based on the surrounding lighting conditions.

The webcam is also designed to handle challenging lighting more effectively, with Razer claiming ultra-high dynamic range that can preserve additional detail across bright and dark areas. Interestingly, the company reduced the field of view from 93 degrees on the Kiyo V2 to 86 degrees. Razer says the narrower view helps maintain image quality at 4K while reducing the fisheye distortion that can appear around the edges of wider lenses.

For users who want more control, the Kiyo V2 Pro works with Razer Synapse, providing manual adjustments for settings such as ISO and shutter speed. That gives creators the option to treat the webcam more like a traditional camera, while One-Click mode provides a simpler alternative for anyone who would rather let the software handle image tuning.

The hardware itself is flexible enough for different setups, with a built-in monitor and laptop clamp as well as a universal mount for tripods and other accessories. Razer has also integrated a physical privacy shutter into the webcam, using a camera-like mechanism that can cover the lens when it is not in use.
