Razer unveils Basilisk V4 Pro alongside a new HyperSpeed gaming mouse

Razer Basilisk V4 Pro debuts with 8K polling rate and 275-hour endurance

Razer has expanded its Basilisk gaming mouse lineup with two new models and a dedicated wireless charging dock. Leading the announcement is the Basilisk V4 Pro, a new flagship designed for players who want extensive customization, high polling rates, and long battery life without giving up the familiar Basilisk design.

The Basilisk V4 Pro features 14 customizable control options, including two additional side buttons and a repositioned multifunction trigger intended to make it easier to reach during gameplay. It also introduces the HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen 2, which supports 24-step scrolling in standard mode and 48 steps in precision mode. Players can switch to free-spin scrolling when moving through long documents or menus.

Under the hood, the mouse uses an optical sensor rated at up to 50,000 DPI and supports an 8,000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes. Razer has also included seven-zone Chroma RGB lighting with full underglow, offering 16.8 million colors and dynamic effects that respond to more than 300 compatible games.

Battery life is another major selling point. Razer claims up to 275 hours of use over Bluetooth or 200 hours using its wireless connection. The Basilisk V4 Pro is available now for $169.99 / €179.99 / £169.99.

For players who don't need every flagship feature, the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed offers a more affordable alternative. Weighing 94g, it comes with a 33,000 DPI optical sensor, a four-way tilt scroll wheel with free-spin functionality, and around a dozen customizable controls. Its switches are rated for up to 100 million clicks, while battery life reaches up to 225 hours over Bluetooth or 140 hours wirelessly. Pricing starts at $109.99 / €119.99 / £109.99.

Razer has also introduced the Mouse Dock V2 Pro, a charging accessory designed primarily for the Basilisk V4 Pro. It uses magnetic wireless charging to keep the mouse powered while reducing cable clutter, and doubles as an 8K wireless transceiver. The dock also supports compatible Razer wireless charging mouse pads and features Chroma RGB lighting. It is available for $69.99 / €69.99 / £69.99.

Rather than reinventing the Basilisk formula, Razer's latest lineup focuses on refining it with additional controls, improved scrolling options, and more flexible charging. The V4 Pro targets enthusiasts who want maximum functionality, while the HyperSpeed offers a lighter, less expensive option. With the matching dock completing the package, Razer is giving players several ways to upgrade their gaming setup.
