Nvidia could revive the RTX 3060 due to reported DRAM supply constraints

According to their latest report on January 5th, NVIDIA has informed its partners that the RTX 3060 is set to return in Q1 2026. Unfortunately, the source of this speculation does not clarify whether NVIDIA intends to reintroduce the RTX 3060 in either its 8GB or 12GB variant. The reasons behind this reported revival also remain uncertain.

There are rumors suggesting that NVIDIA will reduce its RTX 50 series GPU production by as much as 40%. Speculation points to a GDDR7 memory shortage, prompting NVIDIA to focus on its most profitable GPUs. It is claimed that production of the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GPU has been halted due to the need for its memory to be reallocated more effectively.
