MSI teases MEG X ultra-wide QD-OLED gaming display before CES 2026
MSI has unveiled a teaser video showcasing its forthcoming MEG X gaming monitor in anticipation of the CES 2026 event. This ultra-wide screen belongs to MSI’s MEG series, which is typically dedicated to top-tier enthusiast products. The company has recently launched two OLED monitors featuring its 5th-generation Tandem OLED panel, with the MEG X being the first gaming monitor in the MEG series.
The teaser video depicts the MEG X as an ultra-wide monitor, with speculation pointing to a 5K2K resolution. This resolution places it in competition with LG’s latest 5K2K gaming monitors, which are equipped with AI upscaling technology. MSI claims the MEG X is the “world’s first AI gaming monitor,” indicating it will incorporate AI-driven visual improvements aimed at enhancing image quality during gameplay.
Details regarding other specifications remain sparse, but the MEG X is anticipated to utilize a high-brightness QD-OLED panel that provides a wide color gamut and precise color reproduction. It is expected to have fast response times, making it ideal for competitive gaming, and the AI upscaling capability could improve visual clarity across various content types. The ultra-wide design is also likely to deliver an engaging experience for both gaming and productivity activities.
MSI has announced that the MEG X will be displayed officially at CES 2026, where further information, including pricing and comprehensive specifications, is expected to be revealed. This launch demonstrates MSI’s ongoing commitment to developing high-performance displays that merge cutting-edge panel technology with AI-based image enhancement.
With the MEG X, MSI enters the premium monitor market alongside other manufacturers, presenting gamers and enthusiasts with a blend of ultra-wide, high-resolution displays and smart viewing features. CES 2026 promises to offer a closer look at the performance of these technologies in a landscape that increasingly prioritizes high-quality visuals and responsive performance.
