Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra unveiled in jaw-dropping trailer

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, the narrative-driven action and adventure game that pits Black Panther and Captain America in World War II, received a trailer and a release window for 2025. The game is being produced in partnership with Marvel and Skydance New Media, a new division of Skydance Media led by Amy Hennig, the creative director and scriptwriter of all Uncharted games found in Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra platforms has not been announced yet.

The story of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra unfolds in the chaos of war. Captain America and Azzuri, the 1940s Black Panther, must overcome their differences and form a challenging alliance to confront their common enemy. Fighting alongside Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos and Nanali, a Wakandan spy who infiltrated an occupied Paris, they must join forces to thwart a sinister conspiracy that threatens to turn World War II's destruction into Hydra's ultimate rise.

As the game's narrative unfolds, players will take on the roles of four central characters: a young Steve Rogers, notoriously known as Captain America; Azzuri, T'Challa's grandfather and World War II's Black Panther; Gabriel Jones, a U.S. soldier and member of the Howling Commandos; and Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in occupied Paris.

The new story trailer was revealed at Epic Games' State of Unreal presentation, where Skydance New Media and Epic Games announced their ongoing collaboration to bring cutting-edge visuals to Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. Showcasing the latest features of Epic's Unreal Engine 5.4, Skydance New Media unveiled the trailer and a special preview of a crucial scene between Captain America and Black Panther in Occupied Paris.
