Intel ARC B570 and B580 Battlemage GPU specs have leaked
Details regarding Intel’s forthcoming Battlemage B-series GPUs have surfaced online. The listings, attributed to ASRock, include models such as Intel's ARC B570 and ARC B580 GPU, which Intel might officially announce later this week.
There are rumors that Intel intends to price the ARC B580 GPU at $250, aiming to disrupt the entry-level GPU market. The strategy involves providing gamers with more VRAM compared to rivals while also delivering robust GPU performance. It is speculated that the ARC B580 will compete directly with an RTX 4060 Ti, a GPU that typically retails for over $300.
According to leaked details regarding ASRock's ARC B580 Steel Legend model, this GPU is set to include 20 Xe2 cores and 12GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit memory bus. This model boasts a GPU clock speed of 2800 MHz; however, it's important to note that this is an “OC” (overclocked) variant. Intel's standard or reference model is expected to feature lower clock speeds.

The ARC B570 Challenger model will present reduced specifications compared to the B580 Steel Legend. This model features decreased VRAM capacity and bandwidth, offering 10GB of VRAM on a 160-bit memory bus, resulting in a 20% reduction in both VRAM capacity and bandwidth. The ARC B570 comprises 18 Xe2 cores, reflecting a 10% decrease compared to the ARC B580. Additionally, this GPU has a clock speed that falls 200 MHz short. It should also be mentioned that this model is classified as an “OC” (overclocked) variant as well.

Both GPUs utilize a PCIe 4.0 x8 interface and are equipped with three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs along with an HDMI 2.1 port. Moreover, both models are outfitted with two “Advanced Media Engines.” These dual media engines act as “fully featured media transcoders” designed to enhance processing speeds significantly. They support a variety of widely-used media formats, including AV1. Based on these specifications, Intel appears to be targeting these GPUs at budget-friendly video editing systems.
The ARC B570 targets a lower price point and features less robust specifications compared to the B580. Nevertheless, it will still offer greater VRAM than the current-generation GPUs from AMD and Nvidia within the same price bracket. This could provide Intel with a competitive advantage. However, the actual gaming performance of these GPUs remains uncertain.
