The first gameplay trailer of Amnesia: Rebirth is out

Amnesia is a cult series in the survival horror genre and plenty of players have experienced the thrill of playing games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent in the past. Frictional Games recently announced the upcoming release of a new installment, Amnesia: Rebirth, which will offer us a brand new survival adventure that will put to test our resolve and our nerves. In the new game, we will play as Tasi Trianon, a woman that miraculously survives an airplane accident and find herself alone and without any memories in the middle of the Algerian desert. The truth is that she may have some unwanted company and she will have to look for a way to escape from mysterious horrors lurking in the shadows as she explores the surrounding area.

You can now watch the first gameplay video of Amnesia: Rebirth, courtesy of IGN, which shows Trianon wandering through the seemingly endless corridors of some abandoned building.

As in previous games in the series, Amnesia: Rebirth will challenge you with puzzles that you have to solve in order to advance through the game and keep yourself alive. The dark and oppressive environment present in the game contributes to creating an immersion feeling that will delight the fans of these types of games and if you decide to play the game you should be ready to die more than just a few times. Fredrik Olsson, creative lead and executive producer on Amnesia: Rebirth talked about the game in a previous interview this year:

"Our main goal is not just to scare the living daylight out of people by throwing jump-scares, monsters or gory visuals at them for as long as possible. Rather, our goal is to stir up some really strong emotions and make the players question themselves and their view of the world outside of this game."
