Fatshark adds crossplay to Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
When developer Fatshark released Warhammer 40,000: Darktide a lot of fans expected to enjoy a multiplayer experience that was at least as exciting and brutal as the one offered by the studio in Vermintide 2. Finding the balance between melee and ranged combat to deliver a proper experience was probably quite difficult, but the developers came up with a game that has just the right amount of both. Despite some performance problems at launch, Fatshark has been working hard to improve the game, which is in a much better state now.
Crossplay and more
Following that line, the latest Warhammer 40,000: Darktide brings a feature that the players have been demanding for a while: crossplay on PC. Until now, players immersing themselves in the universe of Darktide via Steam couldn't share their experience with those playing via Microsoft Store. Although the issue could be minor for other types of games, this is quite a significant drawback for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide as the game is mainly multiplayer. As it happened with the Vermintide series, the game can be played solo but the gameplay truly shines when you mow down hordes of cultists and chaos demons alongside other players.
Patch 11 also adds a series of bug fixes and gameplay improvements to the game that cover other fields. Many Blessings have been overhauled and will now trigger more consistently. Also, some weapons have been tweaked a bit for a more balanced experience, including the Recon Lasgun, the Ogryn Slab Shield, and the Stub Revolver. You can check out all the changes in the latest Warhammer 40,000: Darktide update in the official Patch 11 notes.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide offers a great experience for those looking for a multiplayer first-person action game set in the dark universe of Games Workshop's tabletop game. If you want to discover it, the best prices to buy a Warhammer 40,000: Darktide PC key are available with our comparator.
