Sorry We’re Closed joins Epic Games Store’s latest weekly giveaway

Epic Games Store is keeping its Halloween giveaways going with another horror title for PC players. This week's freebie is Sorry We're Closed, replacing last week's Sker Ritual and Home promotions. As usual, you have seven days to claim the game and keep it permanently in your Epic Games Store library.

Sorry We're Closed is the debut release from two-person indie studio à la mode games. Described as an eccentric, story-driven survival horror experience, it explores a supernatural conflict involving demons, angels, and the strange consequences of their worlds colliding. Its gameplay combines fixed-camera exploration inspired by classic survival horror with arcade-style first-person shooting sections.

Rather than relying entirely on dark environments and traditional horror imagery, the game embraces a striking neon aesthetic. Players take control of Michelle, a young woman cursed by a powerful archdemon who is running out of time to escape her supernatural predicament. Her journey takes her through the stranger corners of London, where she encounters unusual residents, hostile creatures, angels, and demons.

Michelle also possesses a supernatural ability called the Third Eye, allowing her to see between different worlds. This power plays an important role in uncovering hidden story elements and solving puzzles, while combat relies on weapons such as her Hellhound pistol.

Player decisions have a significant impact on how the story unfolds. According to the developers, multiple endings are available, with choices determining whether Michelle resists or embraces the archdemon's influence. Her actions can also change the destinies of the people around her, adding further consequences to the decisions made throughout the adventure.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Epic has offered Sorry We're Closed for free. The game previously appeared in the storefront's December 2025 holiday giveaway, although players had only 24 hours to claim it on that occasion. Anyone who already redeemed it can simply skip this week's promotion.

The latest giveaway runs until November 5. Once it expires, Epic will replace it with another free title, Flotsam, available from the same day.
