DLSS 4 support at launch for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and many other games
After the introduction of NVIDIA DLSS 4, NVIDIA revealed that PC gamers can take advantage of the DLSS Override feature available in the NVIDIA app to enable the new transformer AI model and even Multi Frame Generation in the demo for The First Berserker: Khazan. Of course, Multi Frame Generation will only be available to those who possess the latest GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards, like the RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 (with the RTX 5070 and 5070Ti anticipated to launch later this month). The release date for The First Berserker: Khazan is scheduled for March 27.
In an overview of NVIDIA DLSS updates, NVIDIA noted that the remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which utilizes Unreal Engine 5, supports both DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation; however, the DLSS Override feature for the new transformer AI model or Multi Frame Generation is not activated. The same limitation is present in Level Zero: Extraction, the multiplayer extraction horror shooter created by Doghowl Games and published by tinyBuild, which recently transitioned from early access with standard support for DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation.
In just two days, developer Aesir Interactive and publisher NACON will present Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator, claimed to be the first paramedic simulation game. This title also features support for standard DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation. Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Rebirth includes standard DLSS Super Resolution (which can be switched to DLAA by adjusting the maximum and minimum Dynamic Resolution Scaling values to 100%).
Ultimately, Warhorse’s highly esteemed Kingdom Come: Deliverance II launches today with built-in support for NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and DLAA. Players can use the DLSS Override via the NVIDIA app to allow the transformer AI model to improve image quality. Unfortunately, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 does not support DLSS and FSR Frame Generation. Even with the DLSS Override, NVIDIA cannot add Frame Generation support to games that do not have it. However, NVIDIA users can opt for the company's driver-level "Smooth Motion" technology to introduce Frame Generation to the game if desired.
