Destiny 2 shows Lightfall's Strand powers in action

Destiny 2 has grown a lot since the game was re-launched on Steam and moved to a different monetization system. Bungie's sci-fi first-person shooter already had a lot of content before parting from Activision, but the studio is now more focused on creating and delivering the type of content that they want and shipping it how they want. As a result, the latest Destiny 2 expansions have added a lot in terms of content, gameplay mechanics, and story.

After expanding the game with Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen, Bungie will launch a new expansion very soon. Destiny 2: Lightfall will take the Guardians to the hidden city of Neomuna in Neptune, where they will help its citizens to fight against the Witness and his savage army. The new expansion introduces new gameplay mechanics, like a tool to help players to get into a group, as well as new dungeons, raids, enemies, exotic weapons and armor, and more.

The most interesting addition of Destiny 2: Lightfall, is a new element, the Strand, which will grant the Guardians new powers and unlock three new classes for them: Architect, Threadrunner, and Tyrant. Each of these manipulates the Strand differently, using it to propel themselves as a grappling hook or to rip through armor with massive energy claws. You can watch the Strand being put to the best use in the latest Destiny 2: Lightfall video, shown at The Game Awards 2022.

Destiny 2: Lightfall and the Strand will open up unprecedented mobility options for the Hunters, control powers for the Warlocks, and powerful melee options for the Titans. These will have a notorious impact on the gameplay and will provide players with new tactical options in Destiny 2.
