Bethesda announces a new Indiana Jones game

Other than being the protagonist of several memorable films that form one of the most epic adventure series in the story of cinema, Indiana Jones has served as inspiration for a few video games over the years. The intrepid archeologist is a favorite of the fans and no matter how dangerous is the adventure and how evil are his opponents he always finds a way of surprising us and escapes unscathed in the most unexpected ways. With the recent announcement from Disney saying that Lucasfilm Games would return as a brand that brings together "all gaming titles from Lucasfilm", we expected to hear about some new Star Wars game, but it turns out that it's Bethesda and MachineGames who are working on the first game of the brand, and it's going to be an Indiana Jones game.

In the video above, you can distinguish two iconic elements that any fans of Indiana Jones can't miss: his whip and his hat. The music in the teaser is unmistakable too and points directly to the famous adventurer. Nothing has been revealed so far about the game, but we expect to hear more about it during the following months. As developers of the Wolfenstein series, MachineGames has a wide experience creating games in which you fight against Nazis, who happen to be the same enemies that Indiana Jones has to face in the films. Therefore they will feel at home while working on the new game, even though it will probably take a less violent approach to the action than Wolfenstein: Youngblood or Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, their last two creations.

We are completely sure that Indiana Jones will handle things in a different way than B.J, Blazkowicz, but we also think that there is a lot of potential for a good adventure game based on films starred by the famous archeologist and adventurer. We can't wait to know more about the new Indiana Jones game.
