Minecraft Legends is a new take on the popular building franchise that will let you do much more than building and fighting by yourself. By adding strategy elements, Mojang's new game will offer you a different type of experience that is significantly different from your adventures in Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons. While the latter dropped the building elements of the franchise to let you immerse explore the world and fight against a variety of enemies while looking for treasure, Minecraft Legends will require you to build fortifications to defend the Overworld from a horde of Piglin invaders. Forging alliances with the mobs of Minecraft Overworld is the key to success in Minecraft Legends. In previous Minecraft games, you had to fight against creepers, zombies, and all sorts of mobs. This time, they will help you to fight the Piglins. Of course, the game will include plenty of new mobs, but some of them will be very familiar to seasoned Minecraft players. Among the friendly ones, you will find Zombies, Skeletons, Llamas, Creepers, Golems of several types, foxes, wolves, and more. Each of them has unique abilities that you will have to put to the best use in your army. Zombies are perfect mindless foot soldiers, Skeletons can shoot bone arrows, Creepers are kamikaze bombers, Mossy Golems can heal allies, and so on. It's up to you to decide which ones you recruit for your army, but they will follow your commands on the battlefield, and if your strategy is not adequate you will have a hard time fending off the attacks of the Piglins.

Minecraft Legends is slated for release on April 18 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
