Paradox Interactive is about to release one of those strategy games that should be in the library of all the fans of the genre. Imperator: Rome is a wargame and the sequel to Europa Universalis: Rome. If you consider the longevity and success of the Europa Universalis series, it´s not strange that this new title from Paradox is so highly-anticipated, especially if you take in account that it focuses on one of the most important empires in history, the Roman Empire.

  Despite its name, in Imperator: Rome the action takes place during a period that spans from the early days of the Republican Rome to its end and the final transition to Empire. Initially, the Senate controls every aspect of the government in Rome, and you will have to manage it to develop the country and its expansion to ultimately make Rome a great empire that will rule most of what we know today as Europe. Imperator: Rome features a rich world with diverse populations. Citizens, slaves, freemen, and tribesmen all live in your expanding territories, and each group has its own culture and religion. Finding a balance between their happiness and your needs won't be easy, but they are the one that will have to pay for your military campaigns and eventually fight for you, so your future depends on them.

You will also have to manage every aspect of governing a nation in Imperator: Rome, and for that, you will have at your disposal plenty of tools and gameplay systems. Paradox has taken all the best features of strategy series like Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings to bring you a more accessible game, that still offers you a huge amount of management options.
