A free new leader is coming to Total War: Warhammer II

Even though Creative Assembly has already announced Total War: Warhammer III, there are quite a lot of players still enjoying massive battles in the Old World in previous games in the series. Whether it is fighting for conquest in Total War: Warhammer or trying to control a magic vortex in Total War: Warhammer II, those players have access to plenty of unique units for their armies and powerful Lords that lead them in battle. Each of the different leaders has their own traits and abilities and they provide bonuses to certain types of units in their armies, but they also can have an effect on other aspects of the game related to the production and management of the territories under their influence. Total War: Warhammer II has plenty of those Lords available in the base game and many more have been added via DLC. Most of the expansions for the game are paid but there are also several ones that you can get for free and that is exactly the case that occupies us today.

The fierce beastlord Rakarth of Karond Kar is joining the armies of the Dark Elves later this week. This unique Lord has a knack for taming and controlling huge beasts and he is able to bring into the battle hydras and other mighty monsters. He is able to boost the strength and defenses of the troops under his command, making them more resilient and harder to kill. Wielding his Whip of Agony, he charges into the fray on a chariot, riding a manticore or on the back the fearsome black dragon Bracchus.

If you want to play Total War: Warhammer II with an army formed by beasts and lead the Dark Elves to victory in battle, Rakarth DLC will be available on March 18 completely free for anyone that owns the game. Remember that if you do not have Total War: Warhammer II, you can find it at the best price on our comparator. If the next installment in the series follows the system used in the previous ones, it would be a good idea to buy it already, as it should be possible to combine the armies and territories of all the games together in a massive map, like it already happens with the first two games.
