Multiple sources confirm the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU will launch on March 6th
Various sources have indicated that AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card is set to launch on March 6th, with @momomo_us uncovering this information through an early retail listing. The day before, Benchlife also confirmed the same release date for AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT models. It's worth noting that this date comes just one day after the release of Nvidia’s RTX 5070.
On February 28th, AMD is expected to officially announce its Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. This announcement should provide insights into the performance and pricing of both the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards. Additionally, gamers can anticipate an in-depth look at AMD’s RDNA 4 graphics architecture and its advantages.

In order for AMD to capture market share with RDNA 4, it must offer impressive performance at attractive price points. Simply keeping pace with Nvidia’s price/performance ratios will not suffice. Moreover, AMD needs to make a concerted effort to implement FSR 4 support across as many games as possible. It’s important to note that AMD has an “FSR 4 Upgrade” feature for titles that already support FSR 3.1.
RDNA 4 is anticipated to be one of AMD’s most significant graphics architectures to date. With RDNA 4, AMD aims to enhance capabilities in AI, ray tracing, and traditional graphics performance. Coupled with software enhancements like FSR 4, AMD has a substantial opportunity to gain an advantage over Nvidia. Healthy competition benefits the overall GPU and PC market. Therefore, it is advantageous for all parties that AMD achieves success. However, AMD’s success hinges on its ability to deliver a competitively priced product that surpasses its Nvidia rivals by a notable margin.
