Intel may be quietly developing a new Battlemage GPU, as evidenced by shipping records
A mysterious Intel Battlemage graphics card has surfaced in a shipping log, indicating that a new ARC graphics card is being developed. Haze was the first to notice this new “G31” model, pointing out that it was dispatched to Intel Vietnam, where the manufacturing of Intel's "Limited Edition" ARC GPUs takes place.
At present, there are only two Intel ARC Battlemage models available: the ARC B580 12GB and the ARC B570 10GB. Though initial reports suggested that Intel designed a higher-performing ARC Battlemage graphics card that was later cancelled, the emergence of the Battlemage “G31” product implies that a new ARC GPU may indeed be under development. If true, it’s conceivable that Intel might introduce a new Intel ARC Battlemage “Limited Edition” GPU featuring its G31 silicon.

Should Intel proceed with a high-performance Battlemage GPU, it could potentially be named the ARC B770 or ARC B780. This GPU is expected to include 16 GB (or more) of VRAM and aim to compete against models such as AMD’s RX 9070 or Nvidia’s RTX 5070.
There are also rumors indicating that Intel is planning an ARC B580 GPU version equipped with 24GB of VRAM, designed for developers and workstation users. If this GPU is launched, it will provide users with exceptional value for VRAM capacity, as neither AMD nor Nvidia’s current offerings match that level of VRAM at a similar price range.
Intel is dedicated to advancing next-generation GPU technology, perceiving it as a crucial aspect of the company’s future. Whether integrated or discrete, GPU technology holds significant importance for Intel, and they cannot afford to overlook it.
