Benchmark results for the Ryzen 9000X3D have leaked, showing a significant generational performance boost
Leaked Cinebench R23 results for AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPUs indicate a significant performance improvement compared to previous generations. These benchmark results demonstrate enhanced single-threaded and multi-threaded performance for AMD’s new Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs, aligning with the rumors about higher clock speeds for these processors.
The 8-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D reportedly achieves single-core and multi-core scores of 2145 and 23315 in Cinebench R23. Compared to the data for AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D shows an 18.7% increase in single-threaded performance and a 35% improvement in multi-threaded workloads.

Single Core: ≈2145 Multi Core: ≈23315
16-Cores Ryzen 9000X3D on Cinebench R23:
Single Core: ≈2245 Multi Core: ≈42375
As for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, it achieves single-threaded and multi-threaded Cinebench R23 scores of 2245 and 42375. Compared with the Ryzen 9 7950X3D data, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D demonstrates single-threaded performance gains of 9.5% and 16.3%, respectively. It's worth noting that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D achieves slightly lower single-threaded scores than the Ryzen 7 9700X, but higher multi-threaded scores. This suggests that the new Zen 5 X3D models may have slightly lower maximum clock speeds than their non-X3D counterparts but potentially higher all-core clock speeds or a higher stock TDP.
The gaming performance of AMD’s new X3D CPUs remains unknown at this time. However, higher core clock speeds are expected to contribute to improved gaming performance compared to AMD’s Zen 4 X3D CPUs. This indicates that AMD will leverage the architectural enhancements and higher clock speeds of Zen 5 with their X3D CPU releases.
Nonetheless, it's important to highlight that there's uncertainty regarding the changes AMD has made to its X3D technology and whether there are any surprises in store with Zen 5 X3D.
