We talked about it a few weeks ago, when developer Saber Interactive revealed the roadmap for the Season 2 of World War Z. The game is getting a lot of free content and the latest drop, which has been released today through a free update, includes a new gameplay mode called Horde Mode Z, that will pit players against consecutive waves of zombies. Each wave will have more difficult zombies, but as the match progresses players will earn resources that can be used to get different items to assist them in their efforts to stop the endless flow of monsters that try to overwhelm them.
If you have played World War Z you must be aware of the insane amount of zombies that you have to face in the game, and that not all of them are the same. To make things a bit more complicated and exciting to the players, the latest World War Z update also includes a new type of zombie that will prove to be a true nightmare: the Bomber. As you can imagine, it's not very easy to pick targets when a huge mass of bloodthirsty zombies is running towards you at full speed, so handling volatile ones will prove to be a true challenge. The good side is that if you manage to take it down and defuse the explosives it has attached to its body you will also get valuable loot.
With this update, World War Z has received almost all of the free content announced so far for the game in previous updates, including weapons prestige ranks and more, some of which you can see in the video below.
There is one more update on the way that will add cross-play support to the game, as well as plenty of cosmetic options for the players to customize their characters. Saber Interactive has announced that World War Z will be getting more content and surprises in the future and we will be ready to inform you about them.
