It seems that the sales of the latest games developed by Ubisoft are not as good as they expected. The release of Watch Dogs: Legion was originally scheduled for March 3, 2020, and Ubisoft has decided to move it to the following fiscal year, which starts in April. The same happens with Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods and Monsters, which will also be released during the 20-21 fiscal year. No accurate date has been revealed for the release of any of the games, so we are not sure of when exactly will it happen.
Guillemot acknowledged that The Division 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint have fallen short of expectations regarding sales and critical reception in the first few weeks after launch. According to him, the reasons for this could be that the games "did not come in with enough differentiation factors, which prevented the game’s intrinsic qualities from standing out."
