Trine 4 is coming this fall

It's official, the fourth installment of the Trine franchise has been announced. Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this fall. We will meet once again the three courageous protagonists of the previous entries in the series, Zoya the Thief, Pontius the Knight, and Amadeus the Wizard. The Astral Academy has called for our heroes to assist them and put an end to a huge threat. The dreadful nightmares of Prince Selius are becoming real for some obscure reason, and our heroes will have to stop them before chaos spreads through the world.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is a 2.5D platform game full of amazing puzzles that our heroes will have to solve making use of physics, their wits, and their skills, to advance through the different levels and beat a variety of enemies. If you played any of the previous Trine games, you would notice that this one is played in a very similar way, but there will be surprises and novelties, of course. First one is that the developers have ditched the 3D visuals used for Trine 3 in favor of something closer to the original Trine, and that's definitely big news because the majority of the players weren't too happy with the change. But Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will also feature the awesome-looking graphics that you can see in the trailer, as well as epic fights against bosses, skill trees with lots of abilities for your heroes to unlock, and a completely revamped combat system. If that's not enough for you and you want to add a new layer of complexity and fun to the game, you will also be able to play cooperatively with up to four players in local or online multiplayer.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince doesn´t have a release date yet, but it will launch this fall, and you will be able to purchase it both as a standalone title or as part of a collection that will include all the games in the series.
