Anno 1800 system requirements revealed

Anno is a simulation series that has been keeping players entertained for quite a while. Its first title came out in 1998, and since then, plenty of games and spin-offs have followed it. Each of the Anno titles usually focuses on a certain period in history and offers us a very accurate view of the situation in that era, adapting the city-building and colonization mechanics to fit the appropriate setting. After jumping to the future in the last installment of the series with Anno 2205, developer Blue Byte has decided to go back to a past era for the next entry. Anno 1800 will take us back to the 19th century during the Industrial Revolution. The game will let us experience industrialization from its beginning to its apogee, following the city-building and combat mechanics seen in previous titles of the series but also with the addition of interesting new features with a heavy impact on the gameplay, like tourism, pollution, or worker strikes.

Whether you are an experienced fan of Anno or a total newbie, you need to have a rig powerful enough to play the game. You should also know that Anno 1800 has joined the increasingly bigger list of video games that will not be available on Steam but in Epic Games Store instead. In this case, Ubisoft has decided that it will fulfill the previous sales that were made through Valve´s gaming platform. Anno 1800 will be removed from Steam when the game launches on April 16th, but anyone that has purchased it there will still have access to the game and future patches. After that date, the game will only be available at Epic Games Store and Ubisoft's Uplay. You can check out our comparator for the best prices, as usual.
