The town of Possum Springs once was a booming mining town, full of life and vibrancy. But now, when Mae Borowski drops out of college and returns to her hometown, she finds nothing but a run down, crumbling down. Not only that, but all her friends have grown up, and seem to have changed. In Night in the Woods, you are Mae, on an adventure to explore the remains of your home town and interact with the friends you once had. You’ll have to be careful, though, because in the time Mae has been gone, it also seems like something sinister has taken up residence in the nearby woods. Developed by Infinite Fall and funded through a massively successful Kickstarter campaign, Night in the Woods is an exploration adventure game with a fun and unique graphic style, as well as a sense of humor. Players interact with the other anthropomorphic animals of Possum Springs, and who they choose to hang out with will affect the storylines they get to experience. A truly unique game, Night in the Woods is focused on storytelling over gameplay. The adventure game features relatively simple mechanics, such as running, jumping, and interacting with others. While Mae can also learn a host of other actions to perform, the main goal is to reconnect with your former friends, and explore what your home town has become in your absence.
