Overwatch Hero Orisa Release Date Confirmed by Blizzard

Ever since the character’s announcement, fans have been wondering when they will see Orisa make her debut in Overwatch. Blizzard have since revealed that the robot will arrive on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 21st.

This was revealed by Blizzard via a tweet, which read: “Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at Overwatch’s newest hero! Orisa activates: 3.21.2017,” which will go live at an estimated time of 6pm UK time, as most Overwatch updates usually go live at this time. This time is to be taken with a pinch of salt at this time, as so far there has been no official confirmation as to when the hero will be made available.

Orisa meanwhile is a new tank character that will serve as a protector to her teammates, boasting both a shield and a deadly form of attack. Blizzard described Orisa as someone who “serves as the central anchor of her team, and defends her teammates from the frontline with a protective barrier.” Orisa will join a well established roster of tank characters, and will provide a potent mix of both attack and defence, making her a forced to be reckoned with when she releases at some point tomorrow.
